Country chick. Living in the desert.
I can usually be found hiding from 44 degree days, covered in dust out in the red desert of South Australia. Located in the bizarrely affluent town of Roxby Downs.
Roxby Downs is a mining town, 563 kilometers north of Adelaide. The town has a transient population of around 4,500 people with an average age of 29 (I'm in old fart comparatively.) Roxby Downs is often referred to as the most modern town of the outback with its Splash Pad, cinema, Tavern and Woolworths.
Our closest neighbouring town is Andamooka, an opal mining town about 30km to the east (30 minutes drive). Followed by Woomera, 78km (1 hour drive) south of Roxby Downs. Roxby Downs offers a relaxed and family-oriented lifestyle.
Given the facilities, services, and opportunities available, it is Australia's most highly regarded mining town. But I want to make it even better!!
